Early Beginnings and Struggles
Born in Dakar, Mamadou discovered his fervor for makeup at a young age, defying familial opposition to pursue his passion. To sustain himself, he engaged in various ventures, including selling water and managing a shop, all the while nurturing his love for cosmetics.
Embarking on the Makeup Journey
Transitioning discreetly into the makeup world, Mamadou initially concealed his artistry due to societal norms in Senegal. However, upon his admission to the School of Fine Arts in 2018, he embraced his calling wholeheartedly, seizing opportunities in film and photo shoots.
Artistry Unveiled
His breakthrough came through the film “Chaya,” where his talent superseded established artists, earning him recognition and further openings in the industry. He harnessed social media, establishing his Instagram presence as Mam’Art Collection in 2019, albeit cautiously, balancing his passion with apprehensions.
Continuous Growth and International Recognition
Parallel to his makeup artistry, Mamadou delved into the realm of tattoos, diversifying his artistic repertoire. Seeking refinement, he pursued advanced training at esteemed studios and academies, expanding his network across countries and cultures.
The Road to Global Recognition
Mamadou’s ultimate aspiration is to achieve global acclaim, working with renowned artists worldwide. Currently an ambassador for Dior Lo Makeup, he collaborates with the brand to enhance visibility and plans to launch an international website and YouTube channel with Dior Lo Consulting, aiming for broader recognition.
